Graphic Design USA
For nearly five decades, Graphic Design USA has presented national design competitions that spotlight areas of excellence and opportunity for creative professionals. GDUSA’s yearly competitions attract thousands of entries; a very select few are recognized with an Awards Certificate of Excellence. Over the past two years, Bop Design won five!

San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce
Every spring, the San Diego Regional Chamber of Commerce in partnership with the U.S. Small Business Administration celebrates the accomplishments of small and micro businesses at the 2011 Small Business Awards and Business Exchange. In June 2011, Bop Design was awarded with the Most Innovative Marketing Campaign/Concept Award.
“We couldn’t be prouder of all of our applicants and small business members,” said Ruben Barrales, Chamber president and CEO. “It’s not easy being a small business in today’s economy. Through hard work and innovation, these businesses have managed to thrive and contribute to the commercial prosperity of our community.”
San Diego Daily Transcript Women of Influence
In honor of Women’s History Month, The Daily Transcript recognizes local women of influence and inspiration. Kara Jensen, Creative Principal at Bop Design, is one of the honorees because of her commitment to encourage women to pursue their business goals. “A lot of my support for women is through mentoring my staff,” she said. “One of the most satisfying things for me is seeing them progress over the years to become true marketing professionals.”
San Diego YWCA
On April 16 2012, Bop Design’s Creative Principal Kara Jensen was selected as a finalist for the San Diego YWCA “Tribute to Women & Industry” (TWIN) awards. “I am honored to be nominated and excited about the event!” exclaims Jensen. “As a leader of two women on the Bop Design creative team, I am flattered that they nominated me and hope to be a mentor to many more women throughout my career at Bop Design.”
