The Challenge

IMT Global came to Bop Design with a formidable challenge: redesign a vague, confusing website and revitalize their logo to reflect a more tech-focused image. The company offered two distinct solutions – systems integration and video collaboration – with two completely different target audiences, and IMT Global struggled to present the two under one website while still appearing cohesive. The logo and branding had an outdated feel, not representative of the company’s advanced technical capabilities. The team’s main goal was to decrease a high bounce rate, drive more conversions and bring more clarity to what they offer.

The Solution

Our team tackled the B2B website and logo redesign concurrently to ensure the two would complement each other. For the B2B web design, we transformed their drab, lifeless aesthetic by incorporating punchy colors and custom shapes to convey a more technology-driven image. We also created a site structure and mega-navigation that made sense of their offerings with distinct user pathways clearly showcasing the two services as separate, but part of the same brand. We revamped the copy throughout the site, replacing confusing language with straightforward messages, and optimized it for search (SEO). For the logo, we modernized it with brighter colors and abstract arrow graphics, meant to symbolize the two sides of the business.

Results

The IMT Global team was “blown away” by the initial B2B website and logo designs. They were also pleased with clearer storytelling and improved user pathways, setting the stage for improved conversions. Even better, the metrics we achieved a year post-launch showed vast improvement. One of their biggest goals was to decrease the bounce rate, which we did by an impressive 21.82%. This is a sign of the “stickiness” of the website, as visitors stuck around and explored the site more than they did with the old website. Sessions increased by 10.30%, with organic search sessions and direct search sessions seeing growth of 8.99% and 6.23%, respectively.
